The Indefinite List Of Things Every Longhorn Should Do In Austin

Do TX/OU Weekend in Dallas

This is an absolute must, at least once in your 4-year tenure at UT (5 if you’re a Super Senior). Traditions include grabbin’ kolaches in West at the Czech Stop, partyin’ your ass off the night before, waking up the next morning hungover, getting ready for the game, and then noticing the vast difference between Longhorns & Sooners.

Take a run at Lady Bird Lake Trail

Yes, in college you must stay fit…and if for no other reason than staring at all of the eye candy passing you by. It’s been said that celebs like Matthew McConaughey hide in the bushes, pop out, and remind you to keep on L-I-V-I-N…with his shirt off.

Row down Lady Bird Lake

There are several ways to do this: standing up, in a canoe or in a kayak. Each are dope. Best done on Saturdays when you’re trying to fill in the void of Longhorn Football in the Spring.

Take in Austin’s skyline from Mount Bonnell

Probably one of the most beautiful views in Austin, this vista is one of the highest in the city. From here, you’ll see the downtown skyline, Lake Austin, and a lot of “morning after” couples.
